In a move to foster inter-state cooperation and strengthen the cooperative movement nationally, the Chairman of Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (HPSCB) Davender Shyam, met Karnataka’s Cooperation Minister K.N. Rajanna, at the Karnataka Vidhan Sabha in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Davender Shyam extended a formal invitation to the Minister to participate in the National Cooperative Conference scheduled to be held on September 13–14 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
The event is being organized as part of the year-long celebrations marking the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC 2025).
Accompanying him during the visit was Hari Krishan Himral, Director of the Bank, who expressed enthusiasm about Karnataka’s robust cooperative ecosystem and the potential for greater collaboration with Himachal Pradesh.
Minister Rajanna appreciated the invitation and lauded HPSCB’s efforts in promoting cooperative values across states.
