Himachal State Co-op Bank reins in NPA decisively

Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank is continuously focusing on controlling the NPA levels and in this regard the gross NPA and Net NPA levels have come down to 5.96 percent and 2.18 percent respectively.

Commenting on this development, the bank Chairman Devendra Shyam said, “It is a historic achievement of the bank and we are focusing on achieving a 1.5 percent net NPA at the end of the current financial year.

In his comment, the Bank Managing Director Sharwan Manta stressed on the efforts being made by the officials at the branch level in loan recovery.

It bears recalling that the bank formed a committee for monitoring the NPA levels under the Chairmanship of the bank managing director.

Meanwhile, the bank’s ‘Sashakt Mahila Rin Yojna’, which aims at providing collateral free credit facilities to women applicants, is coming up with good results. In the span of five months, the loan worth Rs 21 crore among the women has been disbursed through which 10,000 women get empowered.
