Himachal State Co-op Bank funds power generation

State-owned SJVN said the Himachal Pradesh State Co-Operative Bank would give a loan of Rs 500 crore for installing a 66 MW hydroelectric project in Himachal Pradesh, media reports say.

According to SJVN, it has inked a loan agreement of Rs 494 crore with Himachal Pradesh State Co-Operative Bank for the development of 66 MW Dhaulasidh REP (DSHEP) coming under Hamirpur and Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh.

The total project cost of Rs 688 crore will be met through a debt equity ratio of 80:20.
