There is good news for thousands of employees associated with Kangra State Cooperative Bank in Himachal Pradesh as the bank’s management contemplates giving bonus to its employees.
The news was confirmed by the bank Chairman Rajeev Bhardwaj. The bank has performed well in the 2018-19 financial year and the profit of the bank has increased. The profit rose from Rs 4 crore to Rs 39 crore.
Besides, the bank has had a recovery of bad loans.
It is to be noted that the bank has over 216 branches across 5 districts of Himachal Pradesh with about 2,200 employees.
It bears recall that the bank recently announced that it would shut down more than 50 branches as most of these branches are not doing well financially.
