Himachal Dairy membership reaches 39,790: CM Sukhu

In a significant boost to the rural cooperative and dairy sector, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu highlighted notable growth in Himachal Pradesh’s grassroots institutions.

Sharing the update through the official handle of the Chief Minister’s Office Himachal Pradesh, the Chief Minister stated that over the past three years, membership in village dairy societies has increased to 39,790, while the number of village cooperative societies has reached 758.

He underlined that empowering animal husbandry farmers is key to strengthening and sustaining the rural economy.

The steady rise in cooperative participation reflects growing trust among rural communities and the positive impact of state-led initiatives aimed at enhancing income opportunities in the dairy and cooperative sectors.
