A new chapter in dairy development is set to begin in Himachal Pradesh as the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and the Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation (HP Milk Federation) prepare to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening the state’s dairy sector.
Under the proposed collaboration, NDDB will extend technical and managerial support to modernize dairy infrastructure and improve the efficiency of cooperative milk operations in the state.
A key focus of the initiative will be the management and development of the Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union located at Dhagwar in Kangra district.
The partnership is expected to promote the production of value-added dairy products such as table butter, ghee, buttermilk, and lassi.
These products will be manufactured using improved processing facilities, ensuring higher quality standards and better availability for consumers.
