Helping farmers: Sumul increases procurement price

Gujarat based Sumul Dairy has increased the cow & buffalo milk procurement prices by Rs 30 per kg fat from 21st Feb 2023 onwards.

“We have increased the cow & buffalo milk procurement price for the cattle rearers of Surat and Tapi districts by Rs 30 per kg fat”, said its Chairman Mansinhbhai Patel to the Indian Cooperative correspondent.

He said, “From 21st Feb, the cattle breeders will be paid 780 per kg fat and 810 per kg fat for cow and buffalo’s milk respectively. The hike will benefit lakhs of farmers associated with the Sumul Dairy. This is the third time this year we have increased procurement prices paid to farmers”, Patel underlined.

Sumul is one among the 17 district unions associated with Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the marketer of Amul brand of products.
