According to HCBL Cooperative Bank, BJP MLA Pankaj Gupta is a “defaulter” as he has allegedly not repaid Rs 75 lakh, reports IANS.
Gupta has raised a loan of Rs 2.25 crore from the bank in 2013 in the name of his company Fantasy Motels Private Limited.
A source close to the cooperative bank said the cheques issued to the bank by the MLA had bounced. However, the MLA insisted he had deposited Rs 1.40 crore, for which the bank had issued him a recovery notice.
