According to media reports, the Allahabad High Court has sent a notice to the RBI on a PIL plea seeking a CBI inquiry against Indian Mercantile Cooperative Bank.
The Lucknow bench of the high court will hear the matter in November.
The petitioner said Indian Mercantile Cooperative (IMC) Bank granted a loan of Rs 10 crore despite a ban.
The bank is alleged to have indulged in cheating and money laundering.
