Times of India reports the division bench of Uttarakhand has ruled that assistant development officer of cooperative department be suspended as he is guilty of not removing the encroachment on the land of the cooperative bank in Dehradun.
The court issued the order responding to a public interest litigation filed by a local social activist.
There are reports of cooperative bodies expressing relief at the court’s order.
