Chandigarh News quotes Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar as saying with the ethanol plant coming into existence, the Karnal sugar mill will generate 120 kilo-litre ethanol per day.
This will help farmers across132 villages associated with the mill as the ethanol plant will generate additional income and help farmers get their payments on time.
Ethanol plants of 60 KLPD and 100 KLPD have already been set up at the Shahabad cooperative sugar mill and Yamunanagar’s Saraswati sugar mill.
The state government has also approved a 90 KLPD plant for the Panipat cooperative sugar mill.
