Tribune reports Haryana State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Limited (HSCARDB) is likely come to a halt as the Finance Department does not favor its continuation.
Considering its abysmal record in terms of the recovery of loans, the state government would either close the bank down or merge it with Haryana State Cooperative Apex Bank Limited (HARCO Bank).
Sources say the bank’s NPAs have crossed Rs 2,600 crore. Nearly 7.25 lakh farmers are associated with the bank as customers.
