IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi and his team left for ancient city of Dwarka in Gujarat after addressing farmers in Rohtak and Hissar in Haryana. Paying respects to the Lord Krishna at the ancient temple, Awasthi prayed for the success of farmers in general and IFFCO in particular.

In Gujarat he had a pleasant surprise waiting for him as he saw several women participants in the meeting. MD who had been advocating increased women participation in cooperative affairs tweeted”  Women are very active in the cooperatives of Gujarat; IFFCO stands for their increased participation”.

Speaking to the farmers MD tried to instill sense of self-respect and dignity among them. ”IFFCO thinks very highly of the country’s farmers as they feed us. To help them means strengthening cooperatives”, said Dr U S Awasthi. Dwarka is 87th destination of farmers’ connect campaign.

As readers are aware, Dr Awasthi is meeting farmers across India to celebrate the 50th year of IFFCO’s existence. In his address, Awasthi also focused on Indian Cooperative platform which has been created to provide seeds, fertilizer and other products of IFFCO online.

On this occasion, he felicitated several cooperators and farmers with IFFCO Shawls for their spectacular performance.

As usual, IFFCO MD inaugurated the farmers and cooperative exhibition and then visited each and every stall set up by its subsidiaries. He also participated in photo session with the farmers of the state.
