anadi ben patelAccording to media reports Gujarat Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel has said that the state government is determined to cover all the farmers under the Kishan Credit Card (KCC).

Mrs. Patel urged the officials of the nationalized banks, NABARD and Co-operative banks in Gujarat to employ all efforts so that Gujarat wins the honour of becoming the first state in the country that has distributed the KCC to 100 % farmers before the forthcoming festival of Rath Yatra.

The Chief Minister stated this while addressing the State Credit Seminar organized by the National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) for the rural-agriculture branches of the nationalized and cooperative banks located in Gujarat.

The Chief Minister had emphasized to adopt an attitude that the applications for the KCC from the small farmers, who are engaged in key sectors of the rural economy like agriculture, animal husbandry and poultry farmings, should be cleared on priority basis within the purview of the framed rules and regulations so that they don’t face any hitch.
