Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel chaired a high-level meeting to finalize plans for year-long celebrations marking the International Cooperative Year – 2025, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and Union Minister Amit Shah’s leadership.
Highlighting Gujarat’s historic role in India’s cooperative movement, Patel emphasized showcasing how cooperatives can empower rural communities and promote sustainable development.
Key events include the foundation-laying of India’s first cooperative university and a “Sahakar Samvad” on July 5–6, led by Amit Shah. The roadmap also features nutrition drives for 30 lakh children, PACS empowerment workshops, and a mass postcard campaign to thank the PM.
Senior officials ensured logistical and strategic coordination. Gujarat aims to emerge as a global model in cooperative-led growth and inclusive socio-economic transformation.
