In a significant step forward, Maharashtra Based GS Mahanagar Co-operative Bank inaugurated its relocated and upgraded Kamothe branch on Sunday. The new premises were formally opened by Prashant Thakur, MLA of Panvel, in a grand ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Thakur praised the bank’s contribution to the cooperative sector, calling it “a true people’s bank.” He highlighted its role in channeling depositors’ funds to nurture local entrepreneurs and strengthen the regional economy.
Expressing confidence in the bank’s growth, he said its vision of expanding to over 100 branches would certainly be achieved and assured continued support.
The event was attended by Deputy Mayor Dashrath Bhagat, municipal corporators from Navi Mumbai and Panvel, the bank’s Vice Chairman Bhaskar Kawad, board members, staff and numerous members.
The new branch, located at Shop Nos. 06 & 07, Mahakali Nivas CHS, Sector 29, Kamothe, Panvel, will offer customers enhanced and modern banking services.
