Recently, 15 postgraduate students and a research scholar from the Department of Cooperation, Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI), visited the ICA-AP office in New Delhi as part of an institutional exposure program.
Led by Dr. C. Pitchai, the delegation engaged in interactive sessions with ICA-AP officials who shared insights on cooperative structures, governance, and development efforts across the Asia-Pacific.
Students explored cooperative innovations, youth involvement, and ICA-AP’s initiatives in sustainability and education. Many had previously participated in ICA-AP’s youth-focused events.
The visit offered valuable real-world context to their academic knowledge, reflecting GRI’s commitment to practical cooperative education.
ICA-AP appreciated the students’ curiosity and expressed interest in future collaborations to strengthen cooperative leadership and capacity-building through such immersive learning experiences.
