A grand function will be held in Shimla this September to celebrate the International Cooperative Year, with Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu set to participate, media reports say.
Sanjay Singh Chauhan, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Bank, held a review meeting on disaster management at the bank’s Shimla headquarters.
Following recent natural disasters, branch records were reviewed, and officials were instructed to report any losses or incidents from affected areas such as Kullu, Mandi, Chamba, and Lahaul-Spiti.
The upcoming event, jointly organized with the State Cooperative Bank, will also host the National Federation Board Meeting, highlighting the state’s cooperative movement.
