BJP’s senior cooperative leader and Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Union former president Ashok Bajaj said that farmers in cooperative societies are being forced to take compost urea even when they do not need it.
“When they have self-made compost in sufficient quantities, then why would farmers take compost on loan? he asked. However, if farmers don’t take compost urea then they are not allowed to take DAP, and other fertilizer, Bajaj accused.
He also alleged that Seed Corporation is not providing sufficient quantities of seeds for Kharif crop. Seed Corporation is deliberately doing so in order to force farmers to take seeds from private companies at expensive prices, Bajaj charged.
