Marking International Women’s Day, Bihar based Gopalganj Central Co?operative Bank organised a special programme on March 6, 2026, to honour women and promote financial inclusion in the district.
During the event, the bank’s main branch was officially declared a “Pink Branch” by chief guest Gautam Kumar Singh, Chief General Manager of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Bihar. The initiative aims to strengthen banking services tailored specifically for women customers and entrepreneurs.
On the occasion, the bank distributed Joint Liability Group (JLG) loans, micro loans, agricultural loans and Micro-ATM facilities to women beneficiaries. The move is intended to encourage self-employment, financial independence and entrepreneurship among women in rural areas.
The initiative reflects the cooperative bank’s commitment to promoting women empowerment, self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.
