The Telangana minister for agriculture Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has opined that godowns for stocking paddy and other grains should be constructed through the central cooperative banks.
Such a step would ensure construction of these facilities on time and greatly benefit farmers, the minister said.
Addressing a meeting at the NDCC Bank the minister said the bank had helped farmers and its work has been beneficial thanks to the coordinated efforts of political leaders, bank functionaries and farmers.
According to the minister, farm loan waiver announced by the chief minister has helped lakhs of farmers in the state.
NDCC Bank chairman Gangadhar Rao Patwari and vice-chairman Muzeebuddin honoured the Minister along with other legislators, Mayor Akula Sujatha and ZP chairman D. Raju.
