Free Press Journal reports Goa Cooperation Minister Subhash Shirodkar has urged cooperative credit societies to help the people by decreasing interest on loans.
The minister also wanted the coop societies to diversify themselves into water pump spares and electrical goods.
Shirodkar was speaking at the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Quepem Urban Cooperative Society at the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao recently.
The minister opined that while making profits cooperative bodies should flinch from exploiting the people.
