The Goa Cooperative Summit 2025, themed “Sahkar se Samriddhi – Catalyzing Goa’s Cooperative Potential”, began with an emphasis on strengthening Goa’s cooperative sector for sustainable, inclusive growth, media reports say.
Organized by PHDCCI in collaboration with the Government of Goa, the summit gathered policy leaders, industry experts, cooperative leaders, and financial institutions to strategize the sector’s future.
In her welcome address, Pratima G. Dhond, President of GCCI, highlighted Goa’s 5,500 cooperatives in agriculture, fisheries, banking, and housing as key to grassroots development. She stressed digitalization, eco-tourism, sustainable fisheries, and community enterprises as critical to advancing Goa’s cooperative-driven economy.
