Addressing a cooperative function at Shiroda, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the state government would soon amend the Co-operative Act so as to protect investors in the co-operative sectors from cheats and fraudsters, according to media reports.
Co-operative Minister Subhash Shirodkar, RCS Vishant Gaunekar and others were present on this occasion.
Sahakar Ratna Award was presented to Late Jaikrishna Putu Shirodkar posthumously; Sahakar Bhushan to Shri Shrikant P Naik; Sahakar Shree to Shri Damodar Betu Naik.
Many other awards were given away to cooperative bodies on the occasion.
