The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) convened its third Steering Committee (SC) meeting to discuss the preparations for the upcoming Global Cooperative Conference (GCC). The meeting was held virtually.
The National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) was represented by Savitri Singh, Deputy Chief Executive; Anurag Dang, Member Secretary (Youth Committee); and Inderpreet Kaur, Assistant Director. There were several other participants including IFFCO’s Santosh Shukla.
Key topics on the meeting agenda included setting fee structures for different participant categories, strategies to encourage the participation of youth and women cooperatives, and booth allocation for exhibitors. The discussions aimed to ensure a diverse and inclusive representation at the conference.
In addition, it was announced that Mr. Jeroen Douglas, Director-General of ICA, will be visiting NCUI in September, marking a significant engagement ahead of the Global Cooperative Conference.
