Tejasvee Ghosalkar, former corporator and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader, has been appointed as a director of Mumbai District Central Cooperative Bank, headed by BJP’s Pravin Darekar.
Her appointment, ahead of the BMC polls, has sparked speculation about a possible switch to the BJP. The post was vacant since her husband Abhishek Ghosalkar’s murder last year.
Her recent resignation as Shiv Sena (UBT)’s Dahisar chief had already hinted at discontent. Though BJP denies political motives, many see this as a strategic move to woo Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders and bolster BJP’s position in Mumbai.
