The International Cooperative Alliance–Asia Pacific (ICA-AP) and National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) is organizing an International workshop on ‘Enhancing Gender Equality in Cooperative Business’ from 20 – 22 August 2019 at NCUI, New Delhi.
The workshop will focus on two broad issues (i) promoting gender equality in the workplace by looking into the issues around parity, opportunity, safety, mobility etc. (ii) improving data, especially related to sex-disaggregated data. A copy of the Tentative Programme Schedule is enclosed for ready reference.
As many as 15 participants of members of ICA–AP Women Committee and other representative from Asia Pacific region engaged in women empowerment are going to participate in the workshop.
Besides, 10 Women members of National Committee for Empowerment of women of NCUI will also join in the workshop. In addition, 20 Women leaders & functionaries engaged in women empowerment activities in various Cooperatives from different states of India are also expected to participate in the workshop.
“The inaugural session has been scheduled on Tuesday, 20th August 2019 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Committee Room ‘Alpha’, NCUI auditorium complex”, reads an invite mailed by Ritesh Dey Director of International Relations Division, NCUI.
