The CID says officials of the Mandya city cooperative bank in Karnataka have allegedly cheated their bank of Rs 62 lakh making changes in documents while implementing the loan waiver scheme for farmers.
Asst registrar of cooperatives had lodged complaint in this connection, the CID informs. Sources say the scamsters had forged documents and waived off ” salary loans” of nearly three hundred people not involved in farming.
