Fraud in Bhandara district central co-op bank

notesThe Times of India has recently carried a report about a fraud of Rs. 3 crore in Bhandara district central cooperative bank in Maharashtra.

The two alleged fraudsters are Avinas Nashine manager of the Bada Bazar branch of the bank and Bharat Tulshiram Kumbhare a daily deposit collection agent – both have been associated with the bank for the last several years.

The bank has lodged a complaint with Bhandara police but no action has yet been taken against the accused. The police say the annual audit report has not been attached with the complaint.
