A news outlet reports there is embezzlement of Rs 27 lakh from the Lamgara branch of Almora District Cooperative Bank. Cashier and two former managers are being accused of this fraud.
It is reported that the FD of about Rs 24 Lac has been swindled from the two account holders. The DCCB has lodged an FIR against the three in Lamgara Police Station.
Laxmi Narayan Bhatt, Deputy Manager of Almora DCCB said, ”we have lodged a complaint against the cashier, branch managers Mamta Shailenchand and Sanjay Lobhial.
Readers would recall that in a recently concluded election of DCCB, Lalit Singh Latwal has been elected unopposed as the Chairman of Almora District Cooperative Bank
