Foreign participants excited with NCUI training

“Presently, we are working for the empowerment of women of our country and objective is to improve their lives. Our society is credit cooperative union which is providing credit to women and others at the cheapest rate”, said Mandakini Kumar Bachoo from Mauritius who has come to attend NCCE’s three month course titled “Diploma in Cooperative Education and Development”.

Excitement has downed as participants from different states and neighboring countries have begun arriving to attend the course at the NCUI headquarters in New Delhi.

The upcoming event is supposed to offer participants a new vision of the cooperative movement putting special emphasis on empowering women and making them self-dependent.

In a chat with Indian Cooperative reporter, Naorei one of the participants from Manipur who is the Managing Director of Chingmairong Mamang Laikai Handicraft cooperative society said “Our state cooperative movement is very weak. Whatever knowledge I will gather from here in the three month course I will apply in our cooperatives to improve our functioning”.

“I am feeling very happy to be here to learn about the values and principles of cooperatives and I also give special thanks to my organization to give me an opportunity to attend it”, Prateek Kumar Das, participant from Chhattisgarh said.

Yet another participant from Himachal Pradesh, Vishal Thakur who is Asst Secretary in Agriculture cooperative society also shared his experience with this reporter saying the knowledge gained through this course will help us improve in a big way.
