The Fertilizer Marketing and Development Institute (FMDI) successfully organized a three-day Fertilizer Marketing Training Programme for 69 personnel from cooperative societies of West Bengal and Gujarat. The programme was aimed at strengthening the marketing capabilities of cooperatives involved in fertilizer distribution and agri-input services.

The training focused on key aspects of fertilizer marketing, including demand assessment, supply chain management, efficient distribution strategies, regulatory compliance, and customer-oriented best practices.

Participants were also sensitized to emerging trends in fertilizer marketing, balanced nutrient use, and the role of cooperatives in promoting sustainable agriculture.

Resource persons from FMDI shared practical insights and case studies to help participants improve operational efficiency and outreach at the grassroots level.

The programme is expected to enhance the professional competence of cooperative personnel and contribute to strengthening the fertilizer distribution network of cooperatives across states.
