Fisheries co-ops of Chhattisgarh meet Governor

The Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Fishery Federation’s delegation led by its Chairman Ramkrishna Dhiwar met the State Governor Anusuiya Uikey and raised before her issues related to fish farmers.

On the occasion, the federation Chairman informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Sampada Yojana free accident insurance to poor fishermen is being botched up and fishermen are denied the benefits of the scheme.

He further said all benefits should be given to fish farmers like agriculture farmers are given. Dhiveer also sought help in establishing a fisheries college at Damor village in Dhamtari.
