Fishcopfed organizes cleanliness drive in Delhi’s fish markets

With the financial assistance from the National Fisheries Development Board, FISHCOPFED under the Swachhta Pakhawada Scheme recently conducted a series of programs in the NCR region of Delhi.

350 fish shopkeepers altogether took part in the cleanliness campaign.

The fish markets where the cleanliness campaign was organized included Chitranjan Park ,Govindpuri, INA, Sarojni Nagar, Ghazipur, and Sultanpuri.

While inaugurating the program G. N. Singh, Joint Secretary (Administration), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare explained to the participants how to keep their fish markets in hygienic conditions. The book named “Program on fish market cleaning and awareness” was also distributed on the occasion.

B. K. Mishra, Managing Director, FISHCOPFED who inaugurated several such programs across Delhi urged upon the participants to keep their fish market clean. Clean fish markets will win them customers, Mishra emphasized.

Apart from shopkeepers, govt. officials, fish market functionaries and leaders also attended the cleanliness campaign.
