Fighting urea crisis: Kamal Nath stresses on co-op network

The value of co-op network dawned on the MP Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath rather unpleasantly when in a state of surplus urea, a virtual riot for the same ensued as soon as Nath took over.

Trying to rectify the situation a video conference was organized where co-op marketing federations, district officials and other were told how to handle the crisis. The one liner clear massage was” involve co-op societies in the distribution of urea.”

Sources say “Twenty four rakes have reached state during the last 4 days and 28 rakes are in transit. Approximately 30 more rakes are expected within next 4 days.”

Besides the proper distribution, a minimum of 500 metric tonne urea was also mandated to be stored.
