The Fertilizer Association of India recently held a press conference at the IFFCO headquarters on “unlocking potential of the fertilizer Sector” which was addressed by Rakesh Kapur, Joint MD of IFFCO. Kapur is also the Chairman of FAI.
Director General Satish Chander and officials of the FAI were also present on the occasion.
The press conference was a curtain raiser to the FAI seminar to be held in Ashok Hotel in New Delhi. Many questions such as direct transfer of fertilizer subsidy to farmers, budget allocation and many others issues cropped up during the press conference.
Readers would recall that the IFFCO joint managing director Mr Rakesh Kapur was elected as the Chairman of the apex national fertilizer body Indian Fertilizer Association IFA last year.
The finance man Kapur has also been recently elected as Vice President of the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA) headquartered in Paris. At IFFCO he has been entrusted with the job of financial planning by the MD Dr U S Awasthi.
