Once again, the top position of Uttar Pradesh-based Etawah District Cooperative Bank has been grabbed by the team of former SP leader and Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP) Chief Shivpal Singh Yadav.
His son Aditya Yadav has been elected unopposed as the Chairman Etawah District Cooperative Bank in the election held on Tuesday.
It is said as per the cooperative Act, Shivpal is not eligible to contest the election so he has fielded his son.
It bears recall that the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party President Shivpal Singh Yadav has a record of holding the post of Etawah DCCB Chairman for 33 consecutive years. He was elected for the first time in the year 1988 as the chairman of the cooperative bank. Since then he and his family have been controlling the bank.
The bank’s board comprises 14 members and all were elected unopposed. The PSP Chief’s daughter Dr Anubha Yadav was also elected.
