A two day farm festival is being organized in Kakkanad the administrative headquarters of Ernakulam district in Kerala where vegetables, seeds and seedlings produced by primary cooperative societies will be on sale, reports Hindu.
The primary cooperative societies are working under Ernakulam District Cooperative Bank.
Sources say several self-help groups, cooperative organizations and farmers’ associations will take part in the festival. A seminar on organic farming will also be organized on the occasion, add sources.
The cooperative bank will distribute 1,000 seedlings free of charge to mark the occasion.
