EOW registers FIR over sale of Co-op Society Park Land

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Bhopal, has registered an FIR after uncovering a major land scam involving the illegal sale of cooperative society land reserved for public use.

The case came to light following a complaint filed on December 10, 2025, by a Bhopal resident, alleging large-scale irregularities by Royal Heritage Builders and its key person, Zeeshan Ali.

EOW’s investigation revealed that forged layout maps were prepared in violation of the original layout approved by Town and Country Planning (T&CP). Land earmarked for parks, open spaces, a temple, and an electricity transformer in Narela Shankari area was falsely shown as residential plots and sold to unsuspecting buyers.

The probe found that non-existent plots, including Plot No. 262, were sold using fake documents, causing financial loss to buyers. Based on documentary evidence and witness statements, EOW has registered offences under Sections 120-B, 420, 467, 468, and 471 of the IPC against Zeeshan Ali, M.A. Bakhsh, late Mawasi Ram Singh, and others, and further investigation is underway.
