A house of engineers, the fertilizer cooperative IFFCO celebrated Engineers Day by congratulating each other on the occasion. IFFCO MD- himself a chemical engineer by training was the first to greet everyone by remembering M. Vishvesvaraya.
Dr U S Awasthi tweeted early morning Thursday “ On #EngineersDay, Paying my tributes to great scholar, intellect & statesman Bharat Ratna M. Vishvesvaraya on his birth anniversary.”
The iconic engineer M Vishvesvaraya was also remembered by the Prime Minister as well as by several of his cabinet colleagues. Narendra Modi said in a tweet “Stalwart of Indian engineering! Celebrating Engineers Day in memory of eminent engineer & statesman- M. Visvesvaraya.”
In another tweet which was lapped up by his engineer colleagues at IFFCO Awasthi said “ Happy #Engineers Day to all engineers. You are nation builders. Your continuous innovation in technology & implementation makes life easy.”
Replying to MD’s tweet Tarun Bhargava who has been entrusted with the job of cooperative development at IFFCO but an engineering graduate from BITS Pilani said “Sir You as a Great Technocrat & have touched the life of millions through use of Innovative Tech. Initiatives.”
Several others replied to Awasthi’s tweets with one of them saying “Engineers do any job& have proven, we feel proud as Engineers under Ur leadership. Happy Engineers day Sir.”
