Alka Srivastava, one of the NAFCUB Directors organized a women empowerment programme in Gwalior last week in which an emphasis on empowering women through entrepreneurship was invoked.
Mrs Srivastava a known cooperator from Madhya Pradesh had invited NCUI President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav as the Chief Guest. Several other notable personalities of the town participated in this function.
Jyotindra Mehta, the President of the apex body of urban cooperative banks lauded Mrs Srivastava and said such functions go a long way in awakening the women folks in the country.
A Chairwoman of an urban cooperative bank Alka is a regular visitor in many of the Delhi’s the cooperative functions. She made it to the top body NAFCUB in the last elections.
