Empowering women: IFFCO opens Sewing Centre in Punjab

To make the women self-reliant, the fertilizer cooperative IFFCO recently opened a sewing centre at Fatehgarh Sahib. The centre was inaugurated by Amrit Kaur Gill, Deputy Commissioner of Fategarh Sahib, Punjab who was the chief guest.

On the occasion sewing machines were distributed to a few women. Addressing the gathering, Gill said farmers should opt for allied agriculture businesses along with main agriculture. There is a need to make women self-reliant, she said.

IFFCO Punjab State Marketing Manager Bahadur Singh informed the Deputy Commissioner about various programs and activities being undertaken by IFFCO in the interest of farmers.

IFFCO Fatehgarh Sahib Field Officer Himanshu Jain and participated in the program.
