Maharashtra deputy registrar of cooperative societies said elections for co-operative housing societies in Maharashtra had been postponed to April 2020, reports HT.
“As per a circular issued earlier by the govt cooperative housing societies had been allowed to conduct polls without the involvement of an election authority, erstwhile mandated under the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act (1960).
However,as suggested by the Federation of Co-operative Housing societies,rules are yet to be modified.
