The third and final meeting of the Drafting Committee for formulation of the Sikkim State Cooperative Policy was held at the Conference Hall of the Cooperation Department. The meeting was chaired by the PRCS-cum-Secretary, Cooperation Department.
During the meeting, the Joint Registrar presented the draft Sikkim State Cooperative Policy, followed by detailed deliberations on key provisions and proposed policy measures. Members discussed ways to strengthen the cooperative framework in the state and improve institutional support for cooperatives.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Sikkim State Cooperative Union, Cooperation Department, NABARD, Denzong Agricultural Cooperative Society, SISCO Bank, Fisheries and Horticulture Departments, Sikkim Milk Union and SIMFED, along with departmental officers.
Committee members offered constructive suggestions, which were noted for suitable incorporation, paving the way for finalisation of the Sikkim State Cooperative Policy.
