The Karnataka Government has appointed senior IAS officer Dr. M.V. Venkatesh as the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Bengaluru, with immediate effect.
A 2009-batch Karnataka cadre IAS officer, Dr. Venkatesh has held several key administrative positions during his distinguished career.
Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Secretary to the Government in the Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics Department. According to the government order, he has been posted as Registrar of Co-operative Societies against an existing vacancy and will continue in the role until further orders.
Born on February 19, 1977, Dr. Venkatesh has an academic background in medicine, holding an MBBS degree from Bangalore University and an MD from Bangalore Medical College under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).
He has also served as Commissioner of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, besides holding positions such as Director, Chief Executive Officer, Assistant Commissioner, Senior Assistant Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner.
