Dr. R. Ravi Babu has assumed charge as Chief General Manager of NABARD’s Rajasthan Regional Office in Jaipur. A veteran with over 26 years in development banking, Dr. Babu is known for his expertise in natural resource management and rural credit systems. Hailing from rural Andhra Pradesh, he holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from IARI, New Delhi.
Throughout his career, Dr. Babu has played key roles in NABARD’s operations across multiple states, including West Bengal, Telangana, and Manipur. His work has focused on natural farming, climate-resilient agriculture, geospatial technology, water budgeting, and rural infrastructure.
With a deep understanding of grassroots realities and policy frameworks, his leadership is expected to strengthen NABARD’s initiatives in Rajasthan. He aims to enhance credit access, promote sustainable agriculture, and support cooperative and rural financial institutions, driving inclusive growth across the state’s rural economy.
