Dr Ratan Lal got the U S Awasthi IFFCO Awards for Lifetime Achievement in the field of Agriculture Research & Development for 2018-19 and Dr Sachchida Nand got the U S Awasthi IFFCO Award for Lifetime Achievement in the field of Fertiliser Industry for 2018-19.
The award was announced at the 55th Annual Seminar of FAI on Monday in, New Delhi.
Announcing the Awards DG of FAI Satish Chandra said “The value of each Award named “The U S Awasthi IFFCO Award for Lifetime Achievement is INR 2.5 million plus a Gold Medallion and Citation.”
Highlighting the achievements of the awardee Dr Lal and Dr Nand, Satish Chandra said “They have made extraordinary contributions in their chosen fields of work in fertilisers and agriculture.” The winners of the Awards were decided by a jury of eminent persons, he added.
The awards were given away by Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya and Chhabilendra Roul, Secretary of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
Both of the award winners expressed their thanks to IFFCO especially IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi. The Award was constituted in 2017.
