The Department of Fertilizers (DoF), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, in collaboration with leading fertilizer companies, has launched a nationwide ‘Maha Abhiyan’ to promote the adoption of Nano DAP across all 15 agro-climatic zones of the country.

The initiative aims to boost agricultural productivity while reducing the environmental footprint of conventional fertilizers.

As part of the campaign, the DoF is engaging in extensive stakeholder consultations and conducting large-scale field demonstrations to showcase the benefits of Nano DAP.

A variety of awareness activities, including farmer camps, webinars, nukkad nataks (street plays), Kisan Sammelans, field demonstrations, and the screening of informative films in regional languages, are being organized to educate farmers about the advantages of nano-based fertilizers.

Nano fertilizers, such as Nano Urea and Nano DAP, are now being made available at Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Kendras (PMKSKs) through the concerned companies, ensuring easy access for farmers. In a further push, Nano Fertilizers have been incorporated into the Department’s monthly supply plan to streamline distribution nationwide.

The ‘Maha Abhiyan’ underscores the government’s commitment to sustainable agriculture and technological innovation in farming practices, aiming to enhance soil health, reduce input costs, and increase farmers’ income.
