The director of a Bhandup-based co-operative credit society was arrested for allegedly abducting and assaulting a loan defaulter last week, reports TOI.
The defaulter had repaid only 2 installments of the Rs 3-lakh loan taken from Devang Co-operative Credit society and later stopped making payments, despite several notices and warnings.
Vijay Kumbhawade, the society’s director, was arrested.
