A Lokayukta team raided the properties of Govardhan Lal Maru, manager at Aadim Jati Seva Sahakari Sanstha in Dhar’s Labariya village, uncovering assets exceeding Rs 4.69 crore-far above his legitimate income of about Rs 1.20 crore, media reports say.
The 12-hour operation covered his two-storey home, farmhouse, and cooperative office. Sixty-five officials seized Rs 2.04 lakh in cash, 145 grams of gold, 1.23 kg of silver, and valuables worth over Rs 16 lakh.
Maru owns over 30 bighas of land despite modest earnings since 1984. Officials confirmed the disproportionate-assets complaint and say scrutiny of documents is still underway.
